“We have just returned from a three night break at Green Acres cottages with yourselves and just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our stay.
I have holidayed with Travelsmith a couple of times before and stayed at Green Acres back in March 2011. I was delighted to find we had been allocated the same cottage this week as I had before. It really is a beautiful holiday home in a stunning location and we feel very fortunate to have found somewhere so nice to stay. Green Acres certainly lives up to it’s 5 star rating.

“We recently stayed at Green Acres Cottages and just wanted to say how absolutely beautiful it was. It is exactly as shown in your photos – in fact, they don’t do it justice. Everything was immaculate, right down to the cutlery! My friend and I brought my sister, who has a learning difficulty, and it was just perfect for us all. Just one small problem was that the toaster fused all the sockets when used but it didn’t spoil anything for us and your receptionist came immediately and sorted it out.
We really, really enjoyed our stay and yes, we could happily have lived there! It was such a bargain too and I have passed details to several friends.

“If I had a country home… The cottage was exactly what I would have wanted in a country home. Spacious living area, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bedrooms, plus a gorgeous view of the surrounding countryside. Only wished we were staying longer. The staff were very helpful – when we were delayed due to the snow, they allowed us to shift our reservation by a day without any extra charge. Highly recommended!”

“Stunning scenery plus first class accommodation – My parents plus three children stayed with me in Greenacres Cottages for 4 nights during August. The cottages are all well positioned to enjoy the most splendid view of the surrounding countryside. Just breathtaking. The cottage itself had 2 very comfortable bedrooms with brand new oak bedroom furniture, plus flatscreen TVs. The two bathrooms (one up and one down) were spotlessly clean and modern, as was the kitchen which was extremely well equipped with quality crockery and cutlery. All the utensils you might need are also provided e.g. a potato peeler and a rolling pin! A microwave, toaster and cafetiere are also provided. The cottage is fitted with an alarm system should you require it.
The cottages are off the beaten track and set in very quiet, peaceful surroundings. The cottages have been designed so as to afford the occupants maximum privacy.
My kids loved the swimming pool and had it to themselves most of the time. There is also a safe play area for the kids and a little ‘farm’.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone. I am planning to re-visit as soon as possible.”

“Heaven near Eden: We have just spent five days at Green Acres cottages. The peaceful location is stunning, situated high up, affording panoramic views across the surrounding countryside right down to the sea in the far distance. The cottages have been built to a high standard, and their Cornish stonework blends in perfectly with the environment. The other thing that struck us was the level of comfort they provided for a rental cottage. The interiors are spacious and light, with a high standard of furnishings and fittings. The bathrooms upstairs were immaculate with either superb power shower or a deep bath and thick fluffy towels. The cottages are tastefully furnished with a well equipped kitchen and best of all, under floor heating! Wonderful to come home to after a day’s walking on the moor. The staff were friendly and we made full use of the heated indoor swimming pool. We rented one of the dog friendly cottages and we can honestly say that it was the best we have ever stayed in in all our years of holidaying in the UK with our dog. Well done to all concerned.”
